Season 2008/2009 has come and gone and congratulations must go out to all those junior players who participated throughout the season and although we did not have any teams representing Belgrave CC in the finals it was an extremely successful season.

Many thanks to the coaches and team managers, your efforts throughout the season are much appreciated.

Moving forward i would like to announce that Belgrave CC club have appointed a professional Junior Development Coach for season 2009/2010, Brendan Walsh is current day, two-time district premiership player with Ringwood Cricket Club and is also a current state under 21 representative. Brendan is also currently conducting coaching sessions at one of our sponsors Topline Indoor Sports in Bayswater.

I would also like to announce that Eric Glazner has vacated the position as Junior Coordinator and I would like thank Eric for his fantastic efforts over the past year, I would also like to congratulate David Hoppner who has accepted the position vacated by Eric and i sure that we all wish him well in the role, Hoppy has outstanding credentials for the role as he served as President to the Belgrave CC for 4 years.

Belgrave CC recently formed a Junior Development Committee and the members of the that committee have developed an action plan that will hopefully see Belgrave CC expand the current junior player numbers also the members of that committee have developed a number of ideas that will see the  development of the current players skill levels fast tracked.

Keeping this all in mind we request that all parents, friends and players to Belgrave CC volunteer some of there time and effort to further developing our youngsters, for a long time the club has been short on resources and it is now up to all of us to help share some of the tasks required to develop our kids into the fine young cricketers that we all want them to be. 

Remember success only comes with sacrifice. So if you have some time to help out please let us know. There will be two registration days scheduled prior to the season, those dates will be announced in coming weeks. Pre-season training will commence at Topline indoor sports, dates for the first session will also be announced in coming weeks. Go Belly
